At Shared Vision Psychological Services (SVPS),
we feel the best way to train compassionate, qualified professionals is through hands-on experience with
clients. Our high-quality training program offers rich, client-centered clinical opportunities and incorporates the most effective theories and most recent research findings in the field. We strive to enhance the growth of the next generation of caring professionals, propelling trainees into creative and fulfilling careers in clinical psychology.

Trainees are involved in a blend of psychotherapeutic, diagnostic and consultative services with children, adolescents, adults and families in our outpatient professional setting. We foster professional development through balanced and extensive supervision.

Our established training curriculum at Shared Vision encompasses the following:
• A comprehensive array of psychodynamic
  and development theories
• Attention to current research and literature
• Consideration for diversity and adherence to
  professional ethics
• Effective multi-disciplinary collaboration

Please note that SVPS offers formal training from a
dynamic lens, with a particular emphasis on attachment-based theories. Thus, only applicants who have had prior experience and/or are interested in acquiring a background working from these theoretical perspectives will be considered for review.

Trainees perform the following each week:

• Carry an individual caseload
• Assist in managing our intake department
• Participate in therapy supervision,
  diagnostic supervision, group supervision,
  didactic and experiential seminars

Schedules:

• Tuesdays and Fridays are mandatory
• Advanced practicum trainees can expect
  20-24 hours/week on site
• Evening hours are required
• Doctoral interns can expect
  40-45 hours/week on site
